Our Pallet Delivery Policy
To help ensure a smooth delivery, please double-check that the address details you provide are accurate, and that someone will be available on the day to accept the goods. It’s also important that the delivery location is accessible for large vehicles.
Deliveries are made door-to-door by a tail-lift truck and manual pallet truck, which can only operate on level and smooth ground. Drivers are not expected to manoeuvre heavy pallets over uneven surfaces or break down pallets, but they will always do their best to assist where possible.
If delivery isn’t possible due to incomplete or incorrect information, or if no one is present to receive the order, it may be returned to our depot and a re-delivery charge may apply.
- There must be adequate space for an 18-tonne rigid truck to gain entry to the premises.
- If the driver thinks he cannot access the property, they will have to deliver kerb-side.
- Oversized pallets need offloading arrangements such as a forklift on site.
- Anything over 1.8 metres cannot be taken off by tail-lift
- To maintain efficiency, drivers shouldn't wait over 20 minutes at delivery points.
